Ron Smith, Head of Football services at Sports Wizard®, has been announced as the Head of Football in Canberra’s bid to secure an A-League licence.
Ron will be responsible for talent identification and development and overseeing coaching appointments, if Canberra are successful in securing an A-League place.
Ron was head coach at the Australian Institute of Sport football program from 1986 to 1996 where he worked with a cohort of players who went on to represent Australia at the FIFA 2006 World Cup.
