Sports Wizard® is proud to announce to the sporting world its football ambassador, former Socceroo and international star, Josip Skoko.
Josip is the company’s ambassador for football and is charged with relationship management between the Sports Wizard® crew and global football partners.
His extensive network across the European game, thanks to a decorated career that took him to Belgium, Croatia, England and Turkey, makes Josip the perfect partner for the Sports Wizard® football network.
Josip spent over a decade controlling the Socceroos midfield, appearing for Australia 51 times and scoring nine goals.
The last of those goals was a memorable volley in front of a packed MCG crowd, securing Australia’s 1-0 farewell match win over then-European Champions, Greece, prior to the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
During his Club Career, Josip appeared in the prestigious English Premier League with Wigan Athletic and captained Belgian powerhouse Genk to a league title in 2001-2002 and its subsequent UEFA Champions League debut in 2002-2003, where he competed against powerhouse clubs such as Real Madrid and AS Roma.
Josip also appeared for Hajduk Split, Gençlerbirliği, Stoke City and the Melbourne Heart.
One of the most technically gifted and tactically intelligent players Australia has ever produced, Sports Wizard ® is proud to have Josip Skoko as its international football ambassador.
